Our Professionals

The experts at CFVS have broad experience in valuing various types of business organizations, securities, real estate, and intangible assets. CFVS and its business associates are all credentialed professionals, including Ph.Ds, CFAs, CPAs, MBAs and JDs.

Dr. Steven Ferraro, the CEO and Chief Appraiser, has taught business valuation, investments and corporate finance for over 15 years in Pepperdine University's MBA program. He has published research papers in respected academic and practitioner journals, co-authored books, and authored notes used in Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) preparation courses. In additional to formal university classes, Dr. Ferraro has taught CFA prep courses and specialty courses on corporate campuses. He has also been the CFO at two small businesses. This practical experience brings an additional dimension to the appraisal process that facilitates a realistic valuation beyond the theoretical application of valuation methods. In addition to earning a doctorate in Business Administration (Finance), Dr, Ferraro is also credentialed as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Certified Cash Manager (CCM) and a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
